Amhar Resort (Ghunghutta Dam)

This reservoir and resort is situated at a distance of 4 km from the block headquarters Sonhat on the Rajauli road via Podi. Ghunghuta dam has been constructed in a large area by making a wall of about 30 to 40 meters long and 30 to 40 feet high in the Ghunghuta river in village Amhar.

The view of the resort built on the plain area surrounded by hills in the south-western part of Ghunghuta dam is amazing. Here 3 tree houses, a cafeteria and a grass field have been constructed. Tourists staying at these places on a moonlit night will have a wonderful experience of watching wild animals and watching the play of water rays of Ghunghuta dam on a moonlit night. Fishing, cycling and trekking can also be done here.
