RamDhara Jharna, Tanjara

Its Distance from district head quarter is 10 km and block head quarter 15km. This village Tanjara can be reached by travelling 12 kms from Sonhat towards east through village Keshgwan. From tourism point of view, the dam built on river Chand, which is surrounded by beautiful hills on all sides and remains filled with water throughout the year, is worth seeing, 2 kms from village Tanjara towards east, two beautiful waterfalls and caves built on river Chand are worth seeing.
Ramdhara waterfall falls from a height of about 30 feet, while Pakri waterfall falls from a height of 15 to 20 feet. The distance between the two waterfalls is about 100 meters. Just above the waterfalls, there is a flat area on both sides of the river flowing through the plains, where one can sit with the family and enjoy picnic. Along with Pakri waterfall, a 50 yards 30 feet cave created by nature is also worth seeing.


Neelkanth Fair site and Hill Station

The distance of Neelkanth fair site and hill station is 90 km from district headquarter Baikunthpur and 60 km from block headquarter Sonhat. This hill station is situated in picturesque valleys 2 km away in north east direction from village Daser from where Renukut and Rihand power plants and eastern bank of Rihand dam can be easily seen.
According to regional-social beliefs, Neelkanth Baba’s rock is situated on the hilltop here. Devotees and nature lovers from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and MCB, Korea and Surguja districts of Chhattisgarh come here for worship and tourism 12 months of the year. In the religious and natural beliefs of this place, there is a Shivling established in a small window situated in the middle of the waterfall falling from a height of 30 feet, where devotees go through the flowing water to have darshan and worship.


Teriya Dam Sindhor

The distance of Teriya Dam Sindhor is 75 km from the district headquarters Baikunthpur and 40 km from the block headquarters Sonhat. The entire flow of the drain has been stopped by building a wall of about 50 meters between two small hills on the Teriya drain in Sighor village, about 12 km from Ramgarh, located on the border of Madhya Pradesh in the north-east direction of Ramgarh.
The unique technical capability with which more water than the capacity of this dam has been drained during the rainy season is also worth seeing in itself. It seems as if nature has poured its best around the water boundary of the dam. Beautiful green hills surrounded on three sides and the Teriya drain flowing on the fourth side increases the human love for nature fourfold. A lot of birds can be seen in this dam during the rainy and summer seasons. The villagers are also strengthening their financial condition by doing fish farming with the help of this dam. For the last few days, trekking is also being organized for tourists here by the forest department.

The meeting point of 23^1/2 degree line 82.50 longitude IST line, the only centre of meeting of lines in India, gives a special place to Sonhat village as well as Korea district as a unique geographical phenomenon. To reach here, apart from Amhar Resort, one can also go from the direction of Devi Dham temple. This temple of Devi Dham is very ancient as well as situated in picturesque valleys. It is the main centre of religious faith of the regional people.


Hasdeshwar Temple, Mendra

Hasdeshwar Temple Mendra is 40 km from the district headquarter Baikunthpur and 5 km from the block headquarter Sonhat. On the main road from Sonhat to Ramgarh, 3 km from Sonhat, in village Mendra, there is a temple of Lord Shankar built in Orissa style. Its architecture and craftsmanship fascinates the tourists. Some rural beliefs, without any authenticity, consider the water of a pond flowing just below this temple as the origin of Hasdo river. Which does not stand true to the geographical authenticity. From this place, Balandgadhi and the surrounding mountain ranges can be easily seen.


Gangirani temple Natwahi

The distance of Gangirani temple is 65 km from district headquarter Baikunthpur and 35 km from block headquarter Sonhat. Gangirani Devi temple, a major centre of regional religious faith, is situated at a distance of about 02 km east of village Natwahi. There is a cave of about 20 x 20 meters made by cutting a single stone (rock) below the ground level, which is 300 – 400 years old and in the cave itself, statues of Vrishabha Naag Singh and dancers as well as the statue of Dev Mata related to the Naag tradition can be seen.
On looking at the cave easily, it can be understood that it must have been built with stone tools in the ancient human history. The selection of the site chosen for the construction of this cave on the banks of the Gopad river reflects the efforts of the then humans to live a simple life even in difficult circumstances.

Machhi-Bhairav ​​Gadh, Garnai

Machhi-Bhairav ​​Gadh, Garnai is 70 km from the district headquarter Baikunthpur and 40 km from the block headquarter Sonhat. Machhigarh and Bhairavgarh hill stations are situated on the banks of the Golconda river across Garnai village, southwest of Chuldar village on the main road from Ramgarh to Kotadol.

Korea district in the state has historical, religious and archaeological wealth on the land of the ancient princely state. Tourists come from far and wide to see the Korea Palace located in the district headquarters Baikunthpur. The palace, famous as Korea Palace, is the pride of the district.
The design of Korea Palace was prepared in 1923. The map of the palace was made by an engineer from Nagpur at that time for 7 thousand rupees. After this, the ground floor of the palace was prepared in 1930 by skilled artisans from different provinces. The upper part of Korea Palace was built in 1938 and the palace was completely ready in 1946. The most special thing about Korea Palace is that lime has been used in the construction of the entire palace. The foundation of the palace is supported by the joining of lime.


Premabagh Temple

Premabag temple is 1 km from the district headquarter Baikunthpur. There is a 102 year old ancient Shiva temple here, beautiful garden, banks of river Gauge, due to which a large number of people come here every day. Raghuvir Prasad Srivastava, the Diwan of the king of Korea princely state, built this garden in 1921 in the memory of his wife Premabai. A Shiva temple was established in the garden which was named Premshankar Mahadev. After this, this garden started being recognized as a religious place. Many temples were built nearby. At the time when the Shiva temple was being built, the Diwan of the king also built a pond near the river Gauge adjacent to the temple, this pond is still there. Prema Kund located in Premabag of Baikunthpur has ancient importance. Premashankar Temple (Premakund) was established in Korea princely state in 1911. The Diwan of the king established it in the memory of his wife. And a series of temples was created in Premabag.
